Admission Requirements: - Age Requirement: All applicants must be 62 years of age or older. - Spousal Requirement: In the case of a married couple, either spouse must be at least 62 or over. - Handicapped and Disabled: Persons identified by the U.S. Department of HUD may also be eligible. - Income Limit: Individual or family income must align with the prescribed limits established by the U.S. Department of HUD. - Lease Agreement: All applicants must accept the terms of a written lease and related building regulations set by EEI and U.S. Department of HUD. - Non-Discrimination: Final admission is based solely on the above criteria, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin. Monthly Rentals: - Rental Calculation: Rentals are determined by 30% of monthly income. - Rent Subsidies: EEI complies with HUD regulations to receive rent subsidies for eligible tenants. - Income Documentation: Tenants must provide written documentation of income sources and amounts. - Encouraging Applicants: Extremely low-income elderly individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
