About This Property

We are looking to find the right NON-SMOKING tenant wanting to make a home out of our remodeled, minimally furnished studio casita located in the North Valley, the last week of June or July 1, 2022. The casita is about 670 square feet total and is private and separate from the main home where the on-site landlord lives. The property is a non-smoking property. We have a few furnishings available for the property. This is a Gardner's delight with many opportunities for gardening on the property. Rent including all utilities, (electric, gas, water, trash, shared high speed internet) is: $1200 for a single tenant $1300 for a two tenants $700 damage deposit required Required - - Non-smoking tenant(s) - 1 year lease - 2 Landlord/Similar References - Proof of income - Tenant required to have valid renters insurance when lease is signed Drop us an email and tell us a bit about yourself. It has saltillo tile floors throughout all the rooms. The large kitchen has Corian countertops, a full size stainless steel refrigerator and stainless gas stove, pantry and a breakfast bar. There is a full bathroom with tub/shower, custom tile work, a linen closet and a dual flush toilet. The living/sleeping space is almost 400 square feet and has vaulted ceilings, two cedar lined closets, lots of natural light and french doors leading to the outside patio/entrance. There is a front loading washing machine in one of the closets. There is not a dryer but a laundry line is readily accessible in the main backyard. The space has a quiet swamp cooler and a new gas furnace. The casita has a love seat with a pull out single bed is available, a stool and small rolltop desk. There is off street shaded parking available for one or two cars as well as ample additional storage space both in the casita and outside in a shed. There is a private, secure and unique entryway leading to a large semi-private shaded yard with several producing pear trees in it and a wood deck. The tenant is responsible for regular upkeep/weeding in this yard. This is a gardener's paradise, as you can make use of an existing raised bed (or two) in the main yard or start your own garden with irrigation available during summer months. There are feral and domestic cats and a dog on the property. An animal lover is a must. We prefer no pets but with the right fit we are willing to consider a cat as long as it gets along with the creatures listed above. A pet deposit may be required. The property is a wonderful work in progress and we are looking for someone who will enjoy the dynamic energy of the creative space. You can enjoy the rural feel of the North Valley with easy access to local ditches (Gallegos Lateral over to Anderson Fields) and to bike trails along the Rio Grande while at the same time living within walking distance to a grocery store. This is a one years lease with all utilities included. There will be a review of utilities about half way through the lease to make sure the usage reflects the rent. A cat is welcome and possibly a small dog. The space is ideal for one person and if there is an additional tenant the rent will be $1300.
