Please note, this is for an open waiting list for low and median income affordable housing. Applicants should meet ONE of the following criteria to pre-qualify: 1.) Current resident of the city of Monterey 2.) Currently employed in the city of Monterey or 3.) A previous resident of Monterey for 5 consecutive years INCOME WILL BE VERIFIED by City of Monterey Housing Agency. You will be asked to submit the following: - All applicants over the age of 18 must complete an individual application. - Income Tax Returns past 3 years if available - Paystubs (3 months) - Bank Statements (12 consecutive months) - Assets - Social Security Benefits - Public Benefits (Section 8? General Assistance?) - Other Income - Low Income Max: $67,450 per year (1 Occupant) / $77,100 (2 Occupants) - Median Income Max: $70,300 per year (1 Occu[pant) / $80,300 (2 Occupants) - Total gross income required is 2x the monthly rent. Proof of income must be provided at the time of application.
