Dear Future Tenant, I'll feel a bit forlorn when you rent this one bedroom apartment atop Lafayette hill in the heart of Milwaukee's quintessential East Side. I've spent so many summer mornings here watching the sun rise over McKinley Marina with the crew as we remodeled your new oasis. My marketing manager told me to call it a "garden unit" but I'm not into tragically gullible tenants I prefer endearingly gullible. Yes, its ground floor and there's something beyond exhilarating walking out your front door into the vibrant city. Yet it offers incredible privacy, situated on a quiet one-way street with a private entrance to your apartment. Most of all I'll miss the early morning breeze off the lake, its mist bristling my face and urging me to seize each day. And with this incredible location, seizing comes easy. Whole Foods and all those North Ave hangouts await you just a few blocks away. Good luck even getting that far because you've got to pass landmarks like Comet Cafe, Ma Fischers and Oriental Theater on the way. And don't worry if you're terrible with directions. Going south you've got Brady Street festivities and east takes you to the lakefront. If you're not having the time of your life, that's on you. Okay, maybe you're not the social type, maybe you're a recluse working on your tenth best-selling novel about a magical, crime-solving Furby in 1920's Sicily. Then you'll appreciate the expansive views of Lake Michigan outside your door reminiscent of the Sicilian coastline (warning: I've never visited Sicily). Plus, on-site laundry and a large kitchen with dinig area. Don't you listen to that magical Furby, just because you don't like being around people doesn't mean you don't deserve gourmet meals and freshly laundered clothes. I'm really looking forward to meeting your magical Furby. I hope you bring it along on our tour. Yours Truly, Stan
