The classical revival-style school designed by famed Lynchburg architect Stanhope Johnson in 1921 had been vacant since its former occupant, the Virginia School of the Arts, closed in 2011. The Garland Rodes Apartments now boast 30 apartments ranging from one-bedroom to two-bedroom and efficiencies. Beautiful 9-foot windows with breathtaking views of the city and mountains, original wood floors, and stunning modern touches adorn each apartment. We are in a great location next to Riverside Park, and only minutes from downtown Lynchburg and Boonsboro shopping and restaurants in the opposite direction. Rent includes water, sewer, trash and one parking spot. Any additional parking spots will be $50 per month. All units are ready to be hooked up to Comcast, and only require a phone call to transfer AEP service into your name. Both of these services would be billed and paid separately through each service provider. We allow most pets less than 75 pounds and only require a one-time, non-refundable deposit fee of $250 per pet. Your security deposit would be equal to your first month's rent, and would be due, along with first month rent and utilities upon lease signing. We are able to prorate your first month if you do not move in on the 1st of the month, and that prorated rent would be paid the following month. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee per applicant.
