3.7 miles to the heart of downtown (Civic Center, Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines Farmers Market, Pappajohn Sculpture Park), 1.8 miles to the airport, and 3 miles to Grey's Lake, this 1 bed/1 bath upstairs FURNISHED apartment of a classic 1920's home is a great launch pad for your Des Moines adventure. Make yourself at home. Expect a few creaks from the hardwood floors and take a moment to enjoy the artwork handcrafted by a local artist (okay, it's me). The paintings were inspired by the sunrise skies of a few memorable early morning flights, so I thought they were a great fit for this airy space and sky blue ceilings. The queen-sized bed is quite comfy with firm pillowtop mattress, cooling gel memory foam pillows, a body pillow, and a cloud of white bedding for a beautiful night's sleep. I've included a small collection of favorite short stories, poetry, and essays for some late night reading material. Start your morning with coffee or tea on the deck. For a nearby breakfast, Perkins is just down the street. The bathroom is en-suite to the bedroom. The living room is setup as a nice working-remotely space with an HDMI cable to connect your laptop to the SmartTV and the WIFI is fast. There is enough seating for a few people. The kitchen is equipped with all your basics needed to make a few meals, otherwise check out my welcome guide for recommendations on some tasty local bites. Parking is off-street in a designated space behind the house. Month to month furnished rental with WiFi and all utilities covered! So easy for those in a transition or staying in Des Moines for a short period of time.
