Private apartment in 24-acre gated estate on a mountain top, with dramatic views of the ocean below, and a backdrop of the Kalmiopsis wilderness mountains and wonderful sunsets. Large one bedroom with California King bed and huge windows on two sides enable unobstructed white-water views of Pelican Bay and the Winchuck River Valley below. Large full bathroom, large walk-in closet, kitchenette and living room. It is a part of a beautiful house. Outside of the private entrance, you'll find a Jacuzzi (great for enjoying the sunsets over the ocean) as well as two chairs, to enjoy the privacy and environment; Sleep and go to work or watch for whales or read that book you've been putting off. It's very quiet, with the soft and gentle, but unmistakable sound of the surf below you. In the back are hiking and biking trails extending for miles into the unpopulated California and Oregon wilderness with redwood, fir, tan oak and spruce forests. The beach is accessible by a 5-minute drive below the property. There are opportunities for beachcombing where we actually find agates and shells. You can collect mussels or crabs and cook them for dinner. You can venture to our many redwoods, or two Redwood State Parks located 13 and18 miles to the south. There are redwoods over 320 feet tall. Also, the famous Rouge River with jet boat rides and great fishing in Brooking and Gold Beach 40 minutes away. If you want to relax and get away from the stress and too many people and cars, this rental is for you. We are 9 miles to Brookings, Oregon where there are great restaurants, shopping, The Port, beachcombing, wind surfing, and hundreds of hiking trails viewing the ocean and the redwoods. We have 4 rivers locally, they are the Rogue, Winchuck, Smith River and the Chetco. This location is perfect for a person who needs to be able to work. The internet speed is great, there is a large desk, monitor and chair. We require full payment before it is reserved. It books fast! Perfect for visiting nurses. No laundry facilities. Some soft music will be heard in the apartment, but it is not loud, and we provide a sound machine. But please do not call if that would bother you.
