The Lawrence House, built as a luxury apartment hotel, has been a cornerstone of life since its construction in 1928. The flats design team restored the building's original skylight, mosaic pool tiling, and terrazzo flooring as well as establishing an open lobby that acts as a free co-working space, adjacent to retailers such as a coffee shop and bar. The Lawrence House, located on the northeast corner of Kenmore and Lawrence avenue is the perfect location for an urban commuter. The building's historical name was the New Lawrence Hotel, of which it was one of the founding buildings of the Uptown Entertainment District - with many notable people living in or staying temporarily at the hotel.
