Cozy, bright, attic one-bedroom apartment in Jamaica Plain. The apartment is on the third floor of a beautiful old Victorian on a quiet one-way street, just a 2-minute walk to the Green St. station on the Orange Line, immediately adjacent to the bike path that goes down the SW Corridor, and about a 10-minute walk to Centre Street and the #39 bus. Cerina Road is close to many attractions, including the JP Pond, the Arnold Arboretum, Franklin Park, the Sam Adams Brewery, and the restaurants and shops on Centre St. The apartment The apartment has been completely repainted in recent months, and the hardwood floors have been refinished. It includes a small bedroom (approx 100 square feet), an eat-in kitchen (with electric stove, refrigerator, and microwave; the kitchen can accommodate a table that fits 4-6 people), a nice-size living room, a newly renovated bathroom (summer 2023), and a brand new washer and dryer (installed in a built-in cubby in the living room). There is one very small closet (and a wardrobe that comes with the apartment). Some of the ceilings are slanted. The stairs leading up are somewhat narrow at the end. The total square footage is: a little under 700 square feet. (Note: the front hall and stairway leading to the third floor apartment has been renovated but is not yet painted.) Who are we? We are longtime JP residents, and we live on the first two floors of the house. Since 1993 when we bought the house, we have put a lot of care and attention into it. We are committed to providing a clean, well-functioning apartment! Who are you? Probably best if you are looking to live alone. Although we would entertain the possibility of a couple living here. You are quiet and respectful of the space. It's an old house; noise travels. (For example, be conscientious about closing the front door quietly, using a gentle footfall on the steps and in the apartment, etc.) No pets. Owner pays for heat and water. Renter pays for electricity and gas used to heat their hot water. We are open to 12-month or month-to-month lease
