The Douglas Seaside Apartment is just 15 minutes from the Eaglecrest Ski Area, Juneau's community-owned and operated ski area with big mountain terrain, 1620 vertical drop, 640+ acres, impressive backcountry access, untracked powder, and hardly a lift line! In the summertime, check out go-to visitor spots such as the Mendenhall Glacier (just a 20 minute drive) or walk 15 minutes to visit the world famous whale sculpture, Takhu and enjoy the ocean breeze as you perouse the newly constructed seawalk. Juneau is also known for having more walking trails than drivable roads. As avid hikers, we're happy to give you tips on the best trails to suit your abilities. Our top two are the Perseverance Trail, located on Basin Road, and the Treadwell Mine trail located South of Downtown Douglas, both less than a five minute drive from our property.
