Furnished with a brand-new queen-sized bed. There is also a twin bed and double size futon for additional sleeping space. The cottage has a pots, pans, dishes, eating utensils, deck, grill, washer/dryer, driveway parking, basement storage, and covered porch where you can hang out on rainy days. Located in Smallwood, NY the picturesque hamlet within the town of Bethel, NY is just a 2-hour drive from NYC. Smallwood is a lake community. You will be surrounded with plenty of nature and beautiful landscapes. Deer and other wildlife are plentiful and only add to the charm of the area. People who don't know about Smallwood fall in love when they go there, and quite often rush to figure out how they can join the community. There are many NYC transplants in the area, who have found a haven in Smallwood. Within Smallwood you can find plenty of opportunities to connect with nature, hike, bike, fish, and swim and not to mention dining at incredible local restaurants and don't forget to check out Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Within a short drive from Smallwood, you can visit any of the neighboring towns where you can find excellent thrift shops, farmers markets, breweries, shopping, plenty of eateries and so much more! Smallwood also has a great selection of restaurants, Benny and Jake's is our favorite, and the place that made us fall in love with Smallwood as we sat out on their back deck overlooking Kauneonga Lake. The sunset is to die for! Although at the cottage you will feel like you are in a remote area, there are plenty of nearby conveniences such as a Dollar General, a gas station, and the Walmart is just a few minutes' drive away, and fear not - Door Dash does and UBER operates here! My cozy cottage is one to grow on you. There is just a magic about the place, that after spending a short time there will make your heart melt and you will sink into total relaxation. It's not fancy, but it has everything you need. THIS IS A NON-SMOKING/NON-VAPING HOME. SMOKING PERMITTED OUTSIDE ONLY. I am not looking to rent the home on a long-term basis. Less than a year rental only. I'm flexible on move in/move out date. Minimum rental period is 1 month between the months of Oct-June. Utilities are not included. Propane fuels the dryer, cooking gas, heat and hot water. Tenant will be required to refill the propane at the end of the lease term to the existing level as of date of move in. To move in you will need to pay 1 month's rent, 1 month deposit, $150 move out cleaning fee, 5% occupancy tax applies for bookings of 90 days or less. Nonrefundable pet deposit of $125 (if applicable). You will be required to get renters insurance. If you stay longer than 90 days, the occupancy tax does not apply. Rental application, credit check, income verification, renters' insurance required. PETS ARE ALLOWED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS ONLY.
