We are looking to rent our lake cottage from December 1-May 1, 2024 Cheery black cottage filled with light, happiness, and Design, steps from Lake Harmony. Our house is cheery, cozy and bright and perfect for working at home, drawing, chilling out or baking and cooking on a snowy day. We are 5 mins drive to Big Boulder and 15 mins drive to Jack Frost Ski areas, and 10 mins drive to great hiking trails at Hickory Run State park. Built in 1928, we fully renovated the cottage starting in 2015 including adding windows and moving doors, removing ceilings, demo-ing roofs/old chimneys and old stone walls! We had planned on renting on Airbnb back in 2015, but the remodel evolved into a creative project for us...it was extremely challenging but surely a labor of love! The house was built in 1928 and has 2 x bedrooms + small sleeping loft: ~one with 1 x Ikea Queen bed with mattress protector and fluffy mattress pad ~one with 1 x Ikea Full bed with mattress protector and fluffy mattress pad ~All of our bedding is down/feather-free ~there is a small loft where we can include a twin mattress The kitchen is spacious for prepping meals or just warming up a delicious take out pizza. ~There is NO microwave. ~There is a small fridge in the kitchen (which actually holds a lot) and a full sized fridge in the basement. All Kitchen equipment is included-lots of double-wall glass mugs/cups, stemless wine and champagne glasses. Cookware, dishes, plates, toaster, Nespresso machine, cutting boards, knives, etc Our bathroom has a small sized stand up corner shower with top flush toilet and shelving behind the door with towels, hair dryer, iron, lotions There is a washer/new dryer in the basement. The sun room at the front of the house faces the lake and includes our new 40" Smart TV with Amazon prime for movie watching and lots of books on some of our favorite artists and topics We do have personal items stored in the basement on 2 x shelving units out of sight ACCESS: In order to make your stay less hectic there is a code box on back entrance door to let yourself in PARKING: The entrance is on our back road...up a shared (neighbors) driveway and to the right. You will have to walk through the yard to the house. Sometimes the driveway can be muddy/icy TO OUR SMOKING FRIENDS-ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKERS or SMOKING ANYWHERE IN OR ON THE PROPERTY OR VISITING GUESTS WHO SMOKE- WE ARE HIGHLY ALLERGIC- sorry and thank you ~~6 x MONTH RENTAL FOR THE SKI/WINTER/SPRING 2023-24 SEASON~~ We are looking for responsible single/couple to rent our cottage for the winter ski season Dec 1-May 1, 2024 6 x months at a rate of $2550/month all inclusive. Our cottage is a great home base for skiing at Jack Frost/Big Boulder and Camelback ski resort, Woodloch Day Spa, and all of the other awesome outdoor Pocono Activites. INCLUDED: water heat electricity internet wi/fi weekly garbage NOT INCLUDED: we don't have cable TV **Please no smoking or subletting allowed
