The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and a view of the gardens and the third bedroom comes with two twin beds. The Ellwanger Guest House is located in the heart of the Mt Hope / Highland Historic District and one block from the Genesee River. It is within easy walking distance to Highland Park, the site of the annual Lilac Festival and the renowned Victorian Mt. Hope Cemetery. The cemetery is an extremely unique attraction with it's 196 magnificent acres of lofty hills and picturesque valleys created by glaciers. The University of Rochester, Strong Memorial and Highland Hospitals, and College Town are all within a hearty walking distance, and downtown Rochester is only about a 5-minute drive from the house.
