Charming private home tucked away in the woods but just .5 miles from the center of Woodstock village - easy walk or bike ride to the Woodstock "green" and many shops, restaurants, hardware store, wellness services, yoga, coffeeshops, etc. The home is an original 1910s converted barn with a large skylight on the north roof, wood stove, wood paneled interior, romantic loft space, and mostly open plan but with many modern amenities including induction stove, electric double oven, high pressure showers, tub, baseboard heating, inset lighting, and a large fenced-in backyard with a deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stovetop and ovens, large Frigidaire refrigerator, slow/pressure cooker, microwave, blender, induction pots, pans, and all necessary dishes & cookware, both for personal use and entertaining. 3-month lease from December 10 - March 10 with option to extend. First month's + 1-month's deposit = $10,000 due upon signing. Deposit will be returned in full if house is returned in exact condition it was left per lease contract. Renter is responsible for all utilities including: water, electric, oil for heating, and internet/wifi. These average out to ~$600 in winter months depending on use. One small dog ( 30lbs) permitted but they have to be house trained. $500 pet deposit required. Small children welcome but please be careful around furniture, no slamming doors or scratching furniture, floors, rugs, etc. No cats or other pets. Fire safety: Renter is permitted to use wood stove with provided wood (1 cord for the season, use sparingly) by following instructions closely to prevent fires/inefficient burning of wood. Absolutely NO smoking in the house. Follow guidelines regarding setting thermostat, putting out trash, keeping house clean, using appliances, and keeping house locked when away. Garage is not included in the lease and is off-limits during lease.
