Peaceful homestead on 2 acres for you to grow your own or harvest from what's available! Great for remote work, as fiber is actively being installed, and current speeds are adequate for most work! Internet included in rent. Countless springs nearby and Dowling Park within 10 mins. The home is newer, in great condition, well insulated, and comes partially furnished, with all living and dining room furniture pictured, washer and dryer, one queen bed, a 20 cu ft deep freezer (on the back deck), a safe, and more included. Refrigerator and dishwasher upgraded this year. Home is on well water (with filter), septic, and electricity. We are looking for tenants who will uphold standards of regenerative/permaculture land-management by growing produce and/or raising small animals - all produce is kept by you, the tenant! If land will not be used, a landscaping company can be hired and any produce from the land may be collected and sold by landlord. Biodiversity is high here! The soil has been consistently amended (but not tilled!) with various organic materials for over 2 years. Permaculture practices have yielded good results with minimal pest and fungal damage. Native and planted abundance includes passionfruit, blackberries, mulberries, blueberries, muscadines, peaches, plums, apples, pears, pomegranate, goji berry, loquat, kumquat, guava, banana, ginger, mint, strawberries, several culinary herbs, reliably reseeding annuals, along with countless other edible, medicinal, ornamental, and otherwise useful plants and fungi! There are several compost and dirt piles, and logs available for use. Many homesteading materials and equipment, like mobile chicken coop, portable electric fencing, and irrigation supplies, may also be available depending on the circumstances. Owner is happy to pass along homesteading advice as requested and available. One year lease. Internet included. Pets allowed on case-by-case basis, and for an additional fee. Small livestock (poultry/waterfowl/rabbits/quail) ok in most cases, no fee accrued. No goats. Tenant responsible for upkeep of land, in exchange for tenant's sustainable harvesting of produce. Tenant expected to maintain regenerative and holistic land management standards, not using any toxins or destructive practices on the land. Trees and perennial plants must be undisturbed. No large holes dug. Landscaping care can be arranged through a third party if tenant does not want to use and manage the land, but produce may be collected and sold by landlord or third party.
