You will be a 45-min drive (or bus) to Eldora Ski Resort for alpine and Nordic skiing/boarding, 60-min to Loveland, 90-min to A-Basin, Copper, Keystone, and Winter Park, and 2-hrs to Vail. On weekdays, it's an easy drive; we do it 4 times a week. For non-skiers, you will enjoy living close to the Boulder International Film Festival (4 mi), the CU Conference of World Affairs (3.2 mi), the Boulder Philharmonic, and Chautauqua concerts (3.5 mi). If you work at NCAR, you can see it from your front door! NOAA (2.5 mi) and CU (1.8 mi) are also close by. It's an easy downhill walk (1.2 mi) to Whole Foods, King Soopers, the library, Yoga Pod, Orange Theory, cafes, restaurants, ski, bike, and dive shop, and more. The bus line is at the end of the driveway, with access to CU, Pearl St, Fairview High School, the shopping center, and easy transfers to Eldora Ski Resort, the Airport Bus (only $11-amazing!) and Denver. The S. Boulder Rec center is .9 miles away with swimming, pickleball, tennis, weight and fitness rooms, and classes.
