Located in Junction Creek Valley near Durango, Colorado. About four miles from downtown. Up near the end of Junction Creek County Road 204, and start of the Colorado Trail and the San Juan National Forest Access. This is an immaculate house for 2 to 4 people. No pets are allowed. NO exceptions. Approximately 2,000 square feet, with wonderful landscaping and a stream behind the house. It is quiet and wooded, with the house set back from the road. You can fall asleep listening to the sounds of the stream flowing down the valley. This is a perfect place to recuperate, and enjoy the privacy and tranquility of this small valley located close to Durango, yet feels so distant. It is a two level, two bedrooms, two baths house. Done in southwestern earth tone colors. The house is wrapped on three sides by a huge deck with outdoor furniture. On the first floor is the kitchen, dining area and the living room as well as a guest bedroom and bath. At the top of the stairs there is a study/office area which opens up to a huge bedroom with en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, with a cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan, propane fire place and access to a large second floor balcony. There is an occupied one bedroom apartment attached to the property on the northern side. There is also a detached barn/garage on the southern part of the property. The apartment and barn are not included in the rental Everything in the house has been built with quality furnishings. Nice ceramic tile in the kitchen and bathroom, maple cabinets, southwestern rough-hewn doors, and southwestern light fixtures and sconces. All windows have quality insulating window coverings. Heating is via a forced air propane furnace and/or a wood burning stove. The rental can come fully furnished if so desired. The renter is responsible for utilities (electric, propane, internet and cable). Property owner is responsible for trash and water. Renter is responsible for rock walkway/path to house snow removal as well as snow removal of the wooden deck areas. Property owner is responsible for plowing of drive to the beginning of walkway/path to the house. No smokers, no marijuana growing and/or consumption of any kind. We regret that we are not able to allow pets, absolutely no exceptions.
